About Us

Andrew D. Peterson MS, LMFT

Andrew is the President and founder of HealthyMinds, LLC.  He has a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and extensive training in Organizational Psychology. He has over 20 years of experience in mental health including crisis intervention, forensics, suicide prevention, and victim assistance in cases involving traumatic death. He is expert in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder using EMDR and other trauma informed therapies.  He is expert in the treatment of complicated grief and loss.  He works in private practice with individuals, couple issues and family systems issues. He is extensively trained in Critical Incident Stress Management, Psychological First Aid and Life Skills Management for First Responders.  He is a certified mediator trained in alternative dispute resolution.  He is experienced as a life coach, business coach, and organizational change management trainer.  Finally, he is currently an assistant professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Edgewood College in Madison, WI.

Robert G. Einer

Robert is the clinic manager of HealthyMinds, LLC.  He has a business related Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.  He has over 18 years of business, information systems, and project management experience in the insurance and financial services industries.


  • Judy Roethe MS, LPC, CAPSW
Judy has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field.  She is certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor.   She has worked in community mental health, including extensive experience in crisis intervention, case management, suicide prevention and crisis counseling.  Judy has counseled those experiencing tragic losses, domestic violence and acute mental health symptoms in her work as a social worker in two of Madison’s Emergency Departments.  Judy has been in private practice for 13 years.  She is a trauma specialist, being one of the primary responders for critical incidents involving City of Madison Police Officers and Firefighters.   Other areas of expertise include sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, EAP services and eating disorders.   She prides herself in establishing therapeutic alliances with individuals, couples and families of various cultures.  Judy is an LGBT friendly counselor.
