David Cyprus, LMSW

David earned his Master of Social Work from the Graduate College of Social Work at the University of Houston and his Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) shortly thereafter. Since then, he has supported a diverse range of clients in medical, integrative, and behavioral health settings, ranging from children and adolescents up to older adults—and many ages in-between. Prior to becoming a social worker, David worked as a media specialist, technical writer, and consultant.

He brings this life experience and excitement for creative expression into his work with clients, along with a passion for person-centered, strengths-based care. David is also passionate about social justice issues including destigmatizing therapy and mental health services. Regarding therapeutic approaches, David has interest in Mentalizing, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). His primary focus is to create a safe, inspiring environment where clients can reach their therapeutic and life goals while making meaningful discoveries along the way.
