Julia (she/her) grew up in Madison, WI, where she then went on to complete her bachelor’s and master’s in Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is currently pursuing her APSW as part of her continued training in the mental health field.
Prior to joining HealthyMinds, Julia gained experience as a social worker in both Dane and Jefferson County. She has experience with clients facing challenges with substance misuse, housing instability, mood disorders, anxiety, and depression.
Julia takes a client-centered approach to her work, collaborating with clients to create mutually agreed-upon goals. She follows a strengths-based perspective, believing that every person has unique strengths and works with clients to identify and build upon those strengths.
As a social worker, Julia takes pride in upholding the profession’s code of ethics. She values human relationships, is committed to social justice, and recognizes the inherent worth and dignity of all people. Jula strives to serve each and every client with patience, integrity, empathy, and competence.
Apart from her work, Julia enjoys painting, scrapbooking, baking cakes, and spending time with her family-especially her cat, Angela.
